  • Nature is nothing more then big birds eating little birds and plants eating plant.

  • I was driving past Wangari gardens the other day, and a hawk obliterated a pigeon just on the other side of the sidewalk. It was so fast and unexpected, I about jumped out of my skin.

  • Saw one of these pick up a very large rat right in front of me while walking down Bladgen Alley this morning! Slightly terrifying.

    • Great–I was hoping all these big birds were also munching on rats and not just pigeons.

    • Saw a hawk again in my alley this morning! Mangled rat in talons, but none of the pics came out on my phone well enough to send in.
Second sighting in a month, and with the surge in popville sightings I’m wondering if their actual prevalence in the city is going up or if I’m just noticing now.
Oh and I saw a gorgeous bald eagle last week above the BW parkway toward Cheverly, could have been the Mr. President or The First Lady! (Obama era). Star struck!

  • I’ve seen this repeated on a bough out my 5th story window. Rapid. Brutal. Eerily silent.
