  • In spite of the license plate, that is a 1964 Corvair. I had both a ’63 and a ’64. The decorative bar across the front end is slightly different. Pick. Pick. Pick.

  • Old-timers like me will remember that the Corvair was a main target of “Unsafe at Any Speed,” the book that made Ralph Nader’s reputation. In truth, the Corvair was probably no more and no less dangerous than similar American compacts of its time.
