Addendum, A Bar Inside A Bar (ESL) Above The Little Beet Opening Thursday

From the files of it sounds funny but could be very cool – Addendum. Official opening day is next Thursday, February 9. Here’s a bit of the concept/philosophy from an email:

“ADDENDUM
AT STUDIO BAR (EIGHTEENTH STREET LOUNGE)

Quality base spirits are just the beginning of the cocktail program at Addendum. Bitters and cordials added to each drink create the full experience that we know our guests will appreciate. Much in the same way a constitutional amendment can forge a different implementation of the core document, the simplest modifying ingredients will be mechanisms to reinterpret classic cocktails at Addendum. These addenda sit at the core of our creative philosophy: Simplicity in construction, elegance in craftsmanship and intention in execution define the service at Addendum.

In this way, each simplistic addition to the base spirit is the most important part of the whole.

Addendum will proudly feature ingredients manufactured in the District for some of our staple menu items: rums from the Cotton & Reed Distillery, liqueurs from Don Ciccio & Figli and aromatized wine from Capitoline.

Addendum can seat 18 individuals at a time, while we focus on providing highly attentive, personalized experiences for each guest.

The masterminds behind Addendum are:

Farid Nouri, ownership team member, Eighteenth Street Lounge

J.D. Quioco, beverage program developer and bartender with more than 25 years of experience

Lukas B. Smith, bartender, consultant, and educator with more than 20 years of combined experience in restaurants and bars”
