  • East village? Are we in NYC?!?! And anyways this is on the west side of the city…

    • Also came here to wonder aloud where or what the East Village is.

    • “East village” just means the residential part of Georgetown to the east of Wisconsin Ave, which is more desirable than the “west village” on the other side of Wisconsin. The east village is closer to Dupont Circle shops, Metro, and further away from the college kids. I’ve only ever seen east/west village used in Georgetown real estate listings.

    • The East Village/West Village distinction has been around forever. My first condo was advertised as East Village, and I bought it in 1989. There was an annual East vs. West softball game at Volta Park every summer — I still have my “East” cap!

  • 6 bottles of shampoo on the shower stall floor and a dozen pairs of snows cluttering up the closet. Rich people are just like us.

    Also, this house is beautiful.

  • Is the spanking table on slide 15 included?

  • Hey, somebody built a kitchen for me!

  • This looks like only the back half of the building, right? For this much money, Id at least like to have the front half too (unless I’m looking at it wrong)

  • From the interior photos I already coveted this place, and then I saw THERE’S A POOL! Swoon.

  • Man, and I thought I liked booze. That’s a whole lot of alcohol going on in there.

    • I’m actually a little disappointed in the booze selection. I saw a huge bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label. There’s nothing wrong with JWB, but I figured that someone with that kind of $$$ would be drinking Blue or Platinum. Also – where ru gonna park the Bentley? There’s no garage!

  • Baseboard heat? Uncomfortable and inefficient, but it will appeal to those who’d be appalled by window units. Oh, wait a minute may be the baseboards are just for heat….

    • Reading is FUNdamental. Forced air heat, central AC. You can even see the vents in some pictures. Probably just didn’t remove the baseboard piping. Also, no matter how much you want them to be, window units are still inefficient, and have always been ugly and noisy.

  • Woah, this was my grandparents’ house a long time ago. Looks completely different now but cool to get a glimpse inside again.
