hahaha and with this – I conclude my continuing coverage of Don’s Johns.

“Dear PoPville,

Don’s announced today that it will be “covering up” the logos of Gene’s Johns and Blue Ribbon Restrooms via acquisition.

The deal positions Don’s Johns as the largest provider of sanitation services in the mid-Atlantic region.”

From a press release:

“Don’s Johns Acquires Gene’s Johns and Blue Ribbon to Become Mid-Atlantic’s Largest Portable Restroom Provider

Don’s Johns, a premier portable sanitation products and services company established in 1964, today announced that it has acquired Blue Ribbon Restroom Trailers, a provider of luxury restroom trailers, and Gene’s Johns, a portable toilet provider with 25 years of industry experience. This deal unites three of the largest independent providers in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia area, and strengthens Don’s Johns as the largest provider of sanitation services in the mid-Atlantic region.

Gene’s Johns and Blue Ribbon Restroom Trailers are both family owned and operated, with each bringing core values that align with the Don’s Johns principles of quality, excellent customer service and placing a high value on their employees. This acquisition greatly enhances the product and service offerings Don’s Johns can provide for customers and expands the service area into Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

“We are excited about the acquisition of such a high-quality operation. The addition of Blue Ribbon greatly strengthens our position in the restroom and shower trailer market and increases our inventory by 25 units, all in new condition,” said Conrad Harrell, president of Don’s Johns. “Gene’s Johns greatly expands our territory in Northern Montgomery and Frederick Counties in Maryland.”

Don’s Johns will continue to maintain its headquarters and operations in Gainesville, Virginia. It will run a satellite location for operations in Germantown, Maryland.
