Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 2 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

    Peanut Butter, you’re gorgeous!

  • Look at Peter’s ears. Woof!

    Griffin looks sweet too.

  • I used to have a kitty named Pheobe who looks exactly like Peanut Butter! Love torties!

  • Griffin is who we all want to be. I mean, LOOK AT THAT FACE!!!!! All 3 are so sweet – much needed today!

  • Aww Peanut Butter! I miss having a neighbor cat greet me on my walk home.

    • Do you live in Columbia Heights? My giant ginger died last year, but for much of his life, his great joy was to sit on the retaining wall in front of the house and make friends with people passing by. Total strangers have told me they miss him.

      • I don’t but my neighbor’s cat was also a ginger tabby. Friendliest cat I ever met in my life. My family also used to have a ginger tabby. Sorry to hear about your cat but it sounds like he made a lot of people’s lives brighter. Moral of the story: ginger cats are the best 🙂

  • Mix peanut butter and nutella and you get Peanut Butter’s beautiful coat. I love torties!!!

  • Peanut Butter stays on the deck of a house on Abbey Place. The gentleman who owns the house has tried to get her to live inside, but she refuses. A very independent young woman. She likes to go over to Oasis at 3rd & M NE for a nice supper every night. BTW, all of the beautiful feral cats in our neighborhood were neutered by Animal Control. Ms Donna, who used to live on L St NE at the end of Abbey, brought them all in for neutering in the Trap, Neuter, Return program. I have never seen a rat in our neighborhood. Thank you, Ms Donna!

  • I miss my tortie!! After 20 years together she passed from renal failure this past August. Peanut butter is bringing back happy memories.
