From a press release:

“Forest City Washington is pleased to announce The Juice Laundry, founded in Charlottesville, Virginia, will be joining the line-up at The Yards this spring—the all- organic, vegan and gluten-free juice bar and raw-food kitchen’s first location outside its home market.
The Juice Laundry owners Mike and Sarah Keenan have signed for an 1,800-square-foot space on the ground level of Arris, Forest City’s newest apartment community at 1331 Fourth St. SE. Launched as a juice delivery service in 2013, The Juice Laundry opened its first brick-and-mortar location near University of Virginia last year and now operates a satellite location at a cycling studio.

“Expanding into in Washington, D.C., provides us with an exciting opportunity to connect with a new community of people interested in exploring a holistic approach to wellness and healthy living,” the Keenans said.

The Juice Laundry menu features cold-pressed juices, nut milks, smoothies, acai smoothie bowls and soups, using only whole foods.

To celebrate its upcoming location at The Yards and introduce the Washington market to its organic, vegan and gluten-free experience, The Juice Laundry will open a pop-up shop this Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2 and 3, at Steadfast Supply, a collective retail space at the Arris that supports the local creative community in D.C.

“We are excited by the nature and quality of retail we are attracting to The Yards,” said Jason Bonnet, Vice President of Development, Forest City Washington. “The Juice Laundry is a great example of authentic, community-based retail that will also enhance The Yards as a destination on the Southeast Waterfront. Social media is already buzzing about their arrival, and I’m looking forward to sampling their menu this weekend.”

The Juice Laundry pop-up shop will feature selections from the juice bar. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. Arris and Steadfast Supply are located at 1331 Fourth St. SE, at the corner of Fourth and Tingey streets.
