From a press release:

“This election season, two District bars are going to thank you for voting.

To appreciate your participation in this most basic and vital element of the democratic process, guests wearing an “I Voted” or “I Voted Early” sticker to Duke’s Counter or Duke’s Grocery from now through November 8 will receive a beer, wine or mixed drink for just $1.00.

District residents pay federal taxes, but do not have representation in the House or Senate. District residents serve in the armed forces and the federal government, but do not have control over their own budget. In light of these inequalities, this offer is limited to Washington, D.C. residents with valid ID issued by the District of Columbia.

Both locations will also host an Election Night Party on November 8, with a complimentary champagne toast when the election is called, along with drink specials on all beers, wines and spirits that are produced in the United States.

Guests are welcome to any glass of wine, all beers up to 12 ounces, or any well cocktail for $1.00. Limit 1 per person. Cheers!

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
