Junction Vintage Closing on U Street at the End of January and Moving to a New Location

Junction Vintage’s website and facebook are still active but I put a call in to the store during regular hours on Sunday and it went unanswered to voicemail.

Update: Junction Village will be closing on U Street at the end of January and moving to a new location. “I’ll still be open for inauguration needs.” Updates when the new location is announced.

  • all the vintage stores I used to go to are closed now in DC. Sucks.

  • The rent’s too damn high / all the hipsters have left and the yuppies are here now / the hipsters are now yuppies. Baltimore still has solid vintage. I’m sure it will become an ‘incliment weather indoor dog park’

  • oh wow i really hope they reopen!! junction is one of the best in dc.

This sucks big time. Lettie Gooch and Ginger Root also moved/closed from this block on U Street. Three large stores across the street from Junction remain unleased. I think Jojo’s and Selam do well, but not sure about the other businesses. Why does this block of U Street seem like a dead zone? Is the rent really too damn high?

  • Thanks to everyone for supporting Junction! I’m definitely moving and not closing. Check my facebook page at the end of December/beginning of January for updates and new location news. Thanks! -Shannan
