  • This is actually a pretty good price for a proper one bedroom, especially for that location and with a washer/dryer in-unit. Am I overlooking something?

  • Hey, I have that same rug in my living room! Yeah, $1700 for a one-bedroom in Logan Circle with central A/C and a W/D seems like a good deal.

I think the price is low because the building looks dreary and nothing inside is updated it seems. But its great deal.

    • It is updated. I met the previous building owner who was doing the renovation; and did a walk through during his open house. Secretly I wish I could have bought the building (4 units). But, um didn’t have the $1 mil asking. (with 2 off street parking spots).

Sure the building is basic brick (can’t change that). But I’d rather have solid brick than the wood framing with plywood here in DC.

  • A proper 1 bedroom with washer/ dryer for $1,700 in Logan Circle.. Is this a scam post? That seems like almost to good a deal to be true.

    • I don’t know if it’s THAT low. If I was interested, I’d be wary — but I do have friends who have gotten similar deals in condo’s they are renting from owner’s who have moved. So it’s not unheard of.

  • It’s tiny–somewhere around 450-500 sf, the kitchen doesn’t have granite or stainless (so what) and it’s a 1950s building with bars on the windows. in other words, it’s a good deal for someone who doesn’t need a lot of space and isn’t a snob.

Agreed with everyone – seems WAY under-priced and half-expect it to be a “We’re on a mission in Africa and are looking for someone to care for our place and that is why it is so cheap, please wire the deposit to this phone number…”

I live right by there in a pretty comparable apartment at a pretty comparable price. Don’t tell my landlords how below-market my rent is! It’s all about waiting for the deal to jump on, but I’m really surprised this one lasted long enough to make it to PoPville.
