14th and Rhode Island Ave, NW

Last week I mentioned that the Hilton Brothers (Marvin, Gibson, Satellite Room etc.) were bringing two bars to Logan Circle near the new Shack Shack (after confirming that scuttlebutt.) Scuttlebutt on that corner is two for two! Washingtonian now reports that the bar upstairs will be:

“tentatively called French 75 and will focus on Champagne-based and other French-inspired cocktails.”

and City Paper now reports on the bar downstairs:

“Essentially Player’s Club is going to be this raw basement space activated by games with a super playful retro vibe,” Francis says. ” There will probably be some cheesy wood paneling on the walls, some vintage hangings and light fixtures.”
