“He is still currently hospitalized, and soon to be facing several months of rehab and intense therapy”

fundraiser

Thanks to a reader for passing on the sad news about this fundraiser for this officer who helped out a reader back in June. The GoFundMe page says:

“Washington DC Metropolitan Police Officer William R. was recently struck by a high speed vehicle on a ramp of the interstate as he had stopped to render assistance to a stranded motorist on the side of the road. Officer R. had already exited his car when he was hit as a pedestrian by a motorist, severely dislocating and shattering a major portion of his hip. Officer R. was immediately airlifted to a Washington Trauma Center where he underwent two extremely complex surgeries three days apart to stabilize and repair his extensive injuries. He is still currently hospitalized, and soon to be facing several months of rehab and intense therapy to begin his long road of recovery, during which time financial pressures will grow. Donations to help offset current and future financial pain for this dedicated, brave Officer and 6 year veteran of the police force, are needed and very much appreciated.

We are hoping that his medical bills will be covered by his employer. This campaign will help to offset the new and additional “out of the norm” expenses that will require him to pay for someone to assist with the many daily functions of living alone that he can no longer do for himself in the coming months – like walking the dog, mowing the lawn, cleaning his house, grocery shopping, shoveling snow, car maintenance, and a vast array of appointments for which he must now pay for transportation. Officer R’s family lives in New Jersey and as he lives alone, this campaign will assist him in meeting these unforeseen additional life expenses during the coming months.

We strive to make his recovery as stress free as possible in getting him back to all the things he loves that makes him, him; an avid nutrition & (daily) gym buff that maintains incredible physical fitness and member of Fitcops, most amazing guitar player, German Shephard Daddy to his purebred Zack and most importantly, the amazing and dedicated police officer that he is, who LOVES his work more than anything and can’t wait to get back to it. Whether you know Officer R. personally or not, or are a fellow officer near or far, or someone that just wants to be a part of his support group, etc…Please consider making a contribution to this fundraiser, as well as sharing it, for an extremely dedicated and most courageous officer, knowing you will be assisting this heroic officer through his lengthy recovery during his time of need. Thank you all in advance for your ongoing prayers and support.

***For privacy purposes of the officer and his family, his last name will not be shown***”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
