  • Oh boy…

  • Wonder if this explains the cop car with lights blazing that went the wrong way down W to turn into the alley next to Fast Gourmet gas station last night. I hope so, otherwise there were multiple reasons for cops at that intersection last night.

  • In the words of Ice Cube, there should be ’16 in the clip and one in the chamber’. Someone must have clipped off two before, yo… Holla

    • Omar comin’, yo

    • That is for the 9mm version. 40 caliber bullets are slightly larger — closer to 10mm — so you get less in the clip.

Personally I prefer 10mm or 40 cal over 9mm but that is another debate for another day.

  • Can someone please explain what this MPD actually means . . . . Was a loaded gun located, but without being attached to a person? . . . Was it just laying on the ground? . . . If so, apparently no one was arrested — correct? What time did this happen?

    • Gun recovered, not attached to a person. For example. someone complains about loud or rowdy behavior in the park. Upon the arrival of the blue lights, everyone scatters. Cops canvass the area and find where someone stashed their gun.

Criminals know that the charges escalate when you have both drugs and a gun on you so you try to carry only one at a time unless you know you are in imminent danger.

  • Seems a bit odd to post details of the quantity and location of rounds in the gun. Are we surprised how many cartridges a 40 cal can hold? I guess we’d all feel safer if this was NY-spec and only had 7 rounds in the mag?

    • You’re overthinking this. They just posted a description of what they found. No reason to believe they’re attempting to send an editorial message or to surprise/scare you.

  • 14 & WTF street.

  • This is one of those cases where having a competent, responsive, and crime-aware Councilmember would come in handy.
Unfortunately this happened in Ward 1.

    • I am not a Nadeau fan AT ALL (in fact i am sorely disappointed in her policy toward crime but what difference would that make in this gun recovery?
