  • I’m going to invent a “character vacuum.” All developers have to do is enter a property, turn on the machine, and it sucks all character out of a place. I’ll make millions!

    • as long as it also sucks out lead, asbestos, poor wiring, failing roofs and joists, etc., it seems like a good invention.

    • Why do we say that old floors and old trim and doors as well as very outdated floorplans (too narrow to fit furniture that fits modern-height humans) have character? The furnishings, art, and people lend character too.
      Get used to it people, minimalism and drywall and open floorplans is just a different character.

  • Another example of how chopping up row houses into luxury condos does nothing to make them “affordable” and just makes prices continue to skyrocket.
