scuttlebutt_beer

Earlier this month I gave you some of the best bars to drink a beer in DC. Now I’m gonna give you some of the best places to drink a beer outside of a bar – legally. In no particular order:

1. Yards Park (at events like Snallygaster and New Belgium’s Tour de Fat etc. Navy Yard/Capitol Riverfront.)

2. Our locally brewed beer tasting rooms (DC Brau, 3 Stars, Right Proper in Brookland etc.)

3. National Portrait Gallery Pavilion (Chinatown)

4. Kennedy Center (Foggy Bottom)

5. Nats Park and RFK (just wait till next year!)

6. E Street Cinema (Penn Quarter)

7. East Potomac Golf Course Clubhouse (Hains Point)

(The Soldiers Home golf course used to have a vending machine back in the day with beer for like 2 bucks it was awesome but I’m told it’s no longer there. Still I’ll add an honorable mention for events held at the Soldiers Home like Oktoberfest when it’s not raining. Petworth)

8. Brew at the Zoo (Woodley Park)

9. Heurich House Museum (Dupont Circle)

10. Smithsonian “After Hours” Events (various)

11. Jazz in the Sculpture Garden (7th and Constitution NW)

12. Embassy parties and events (various)

13. Glen’s Garden Market (Shaw and Dupont.)

and hell if Michelin can do it, I can too:

14. Wolf Trap (Virginia Hinterland)

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
