From a press release:

“WHAT: ANXO Cidery & Pintxos Bar begins its wholesale program with four DC-area Whole Foods locations beginning Thursday, October 27th. As the district’s first licensed winery (since prohibition), we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the world’s best cider-makers and fermenters both prior to and following our opening at 300 Florida Avenue. Production and wholesale will continue to expand as we open our Cidery and Tasting Room in Brightwood Park in early 2017.

“The 1,300 square foot Cidery and Tasting Room at 711 Kennedy Street NW will be the center of all ANXO cider production upon opening. The tasting room includes a bar that seats 30, and will function as a neighborhood bar three days a week. In addition, we look forward to hosting events that celebrate cider and DC’s growing community.”

WHOLE FOODS will carry four ciders from ANXO at $19.99 each at their Georgetown/Glover Park, Foggy Bottom, P Street, and Tenleytown locations.

ANXO/Millstone Collaboration #1 – A collaboration with Millstone Cellars of Monkton, Maryland. Our riff on a Northern Spanish-style cider. A blend of York, Jonathan, and Stayman Winesap apples, fermented in 13 different oak barrels and then blended together. Winner of a silver medal for Spanish-style cider at the Great lakes International Cider and Perry Festival (GLINTCAP). 7.5% ABV

ANXO/Millstone Collaboration #2 – Our second Millstone collaboration. A blend of York, Jonathan, and Northern Spy apples fermented individually in oak barrels. That cider was then blended with a portion of Millstone’s Farmgate cider and left uncarbonated. Winner of a bronze medal for Spanish-style cider at GLINTCAP. 7.5% ABV

ANXO/Eden Collaboration #3 – A collaboration with Eden Specialty Ciders of Newport, Vermont. A blend of 18 different heirloom apple varieties. This completely natural cider (no sulfites added) is a blend of 18 different heirloom apples. The blend underwent a natural yeast fermentation and was aged seven months in stainless steel to mature and intensify flavor. 6.7% ABV

ANXO/Eden Collaboration #4 – Our second Eden collaboration. This cider is very similar to Collaboration #3, but undergoes a secondary fermentation in the bottle which adds extremely fine champagne-like bubbles. 7.5% ABV

In addition to the ciders listed above, we look forward to releasing our own products next year that will feature locally foraged apples and Mid-Atlantic terroir.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
