“Metro Transit Police are investigating a reported kidnapping in the Petworth neighborhood of Northwest Washington, D.C.

The victim, an adult female, reported to police that she was waiting for a bus at the corner of New Hampshire Ave, NW, and Georgia Ave, NW, around 1 p.m. yesterday (Tuesday, September 27, 2016) when she was approached by two unknown men.

After initially engaging the victim in conversation, the males told the victim to come with them and threatened to harm her if she did not comply.

According to the victim, the men forced her to walk with them to a vehicle a short distance away. Once inside, the suspects asked the victim where she lived and then drove to her residence in Hyattsville, Md., where they stole valuables and cash. The suspects then left the apartment and fled the area.

The victim was not physically injured during the incident.

Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 40 years old, dark complexion, 5’9″ tall, wearing a long-sleeve gray and white Hawaiian-style shirt, dark blue jeans and a black watch.

Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male, 5’3″, 20-25 years old, light complexion, wearing a short-sleeve green plaid shirt and blue jeans.

The vehicle is described as a silver SUV, possibly a Nissan Pathfinder.
