  • Very excited for this opening- great location for it. Always enjoy going to The Smith in NYC- it will be a welcome addition in that neighborhood.
I wonder what they will do with the SPY Museum space now that they are relocating. That’s a perfect spot for a new bar/restaurant.

  • Ashy Oldlady

Maybe they should’ve changed the name. Smith Point. Smith Commons. Mr. Smith’s. We are all smithed out.

  • Ugh, another corporate restaurant “concept.”

    • Prince Of Petworth

I’ve eaten at one of their places a few times and, concept or not, it is very good. I also like Le Diplomate which I’m sure someone has described as concept at one point too.

    • I like the Smith. Normal food but some unique stuff too – but not fru fru, not small plates and you leave full.
      .
I’ll be interested to see their prices. It can be a bit high in price (although their brunch comes with a free drink), but NYC and DC prices should not be the same.

  • Quotia Zelda

Good news! I’ve had great meals at a couple of the NYC locations.

  • Totally dating myself but I haven’t been there since it was Angelo & Maxie’s. Happy to try this out!
