3213 Georgia Avenue, NW

Heat Da Spot Cafe opened up back in June of last year. Any fans?

  • Great sandwiches and always friendly service

  • Heat da Spot remains one of the best kept secrets of Park View/Columbia Heights. The Ethiopian family that runs the coffee shop is exceedingly friendly and attentive. The shop itself is quirky, but the coffee is dark and delicious. My one concern is that the secret will get out and all the yuppies posted up at Colony Club will descend upon my quiet java haven… Good luck to them!

  • Very nice neighborhood joint. Reasonable prices and a really friendly staff. I’ve never eaten there but I’ve heard many rave about their sandwiches.

great little place – makes a mean breakfast sammy. greasy, flaky, delicious croissants w/ egg cheese and a meat/veggies

  • this family cares so much about the space and their customers. I don’t have quite the same design aesthetic that they do, but I love seeing the elbow grease and sweat equity that they put into improving the space continuously since they opened. I They are a true bright spot on the block!
