Friday Question of the Day: “Sweet, Sweet Freedom – looking for some ideas of what to do on a random Tuesday”

A reader requests:

“I was hoping PoPville could provide some advice to some local parents getting their first extended taste of freedom in a long time. Our kids are FINALLY old enough to spend a week at their grandparents house by themselves, so my husband and I get something we haven’t had in 9 years– a full week in DC with no children. I can’t even wrap my head around it. We aren’t hermits or anything– we get sitters often on weekends and get out of the house. But we don’t get out much during the week so I’m looking for some ideas of what to do on a random Tuesday. I have a couple other friends in the same boat and we’d love to hear from people who are in the know. I feel like there is probably some cool stuff that goes on during the week that I never hear about due to our parental status.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
