  • Sherman south of Irving was closed off at about 8:30, too. Not sure how for south the closure went.

    • alissaaa

Closed to Harvard. Saw several police cars, and a fire truck and a taped off area, but that was all I could see from my car before I had to turn.

  • I saw that Sherman was all backed up… right after I’d navigated my was around the cop cars and police tape at the corner of Holmead and Monroe, at that really nice light blue condo conversion.
I’m so sad for my neighborhood.

  • ANC chair reports: “The incident originated in the 14th and Park Road area, the suspects fled to Sherman Ave. Units are working to complete investigation of the crime scene and interview any witnesses.”

So, I guess someone attempted an armed robbery at 14th and Park at 8 am? geez. then fled in the general direction of the police station?

  • Probably not a coincidence that there were 9 police SUVs in Meridian Hill Park a few minutes ago.
