Update: D’oh!

Good afternoon and thanks for your support, the WAPA GARDEN is a project that we are staring in NE dc, by the union market. You all invited.

Sweet. Thanks to a reader for sending: “check out the new back of wapa cafe in brightwood that looks like it will open soon!” Wapa Cafe’s website says:

“We are Latin Americans sharing our passion for good coffee and the pleasure of eating, having in common our same cultural gastronomical background.

We are working to obtain the best quality of locally sourced ingredients getting the best flavors.

We are a cafe with crepes, wraps, paninis with the Latin touch. We offer a wide selection of coffees, teas and hot chocolate from different countries such as Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Brasil and Guatemala, but for everyone’s taste… with affordable prices.”

Check out their menu here.

  • Just saw on their Facebook that they are actually starting this in NE by union market. 🙁 The Brightwood location is still great!

  • Mr. Silverman,

FYI……This NOT the back of the WAPA Cafe. I was by there today for lunch, as I’m friends with the owners. The photo that you posted is actually at the DC Pavillion at Union Market. Wishful thinking though on behalf of the residents of Brightwood! 🙂

  • Woooow… I feel like I’m back in Queens. Latino food that’s not Salvadoran, Mexican or Cuban send very encouraging. Hopefully they live up to the hype.
