Bunny Found on Capitol Hill

IMG_0460

“Dear PoPville,

This afternoon, on our way to Eastern Market we came across a bunny in Capitol Hill hopping around right near the library on 7th & D. After guessing it was probably somebody’s pet, I called the Washington Humane Society while my husband went and got the bunny a snack. The Humane Society came and picked up the bunny, so if anyone in Capitol Hill is missing their pet, they should call 202-576-6664. We also alerted the librarians about the dilemma in case they heard about anyone looking for a missing rabbit. Here’s hoping they are all reunited soon.”

There was a poster to the Mothers on the Hill listserv who lost and then recovered their bunny a few weeks back. The rabbit was found very close to where this one was, so I forwarded this to her again just in case their bunny managed to escape twice (which would pretty much make it like the Rusty the Red Panda of bunnies).

Turned out to be the same bunny! Owner is on her way to pick her up now. So, that all worked out well. Thanks for posting!

      • Well, that is great but kinda sucks too. Seems like they need to revise their bunny housing situation if said bunny keeps escaping.
