“Join 3 Stars Brewing Company and the Pint for The Brookland Crab Fest!”

Crab

From an email:

This event takes place from 12 – 9:30 PM on Saturday, July 16th.

Join 3 Stars Brewing Company and the Pint for The Brookland Crab Fest! If you have been in the DMV long enough, you know that summer is never truly here until you have crushed some crabs! We will be opening our patio all day for an amazing event filled with great local craft beer and locally sourced Maryland Blue Crab! $55 gets you all the crab that you can eat in a 2 1/2-hour window, and a 3 Stars tallboy can! The details:

Crab: The star of the show will all be medium and large Maryland Blue Crab. We will be steaming them in front of you continuously throughout your session, so you are guaranteed to have the freshest crab possible. All crab will be prepared with Old Bay (duh!) and served with corn, potato chips, and butter. There will be additional Old Bay on the table as well. We will start each session with a bushel of crab (6-7 dozen) per table. We will replenish crab after that in increments of 6. When you have 30 minutes left in your session we will replenish crab in increments of 3, and in increments of 1 for the last 15 minutes. You MAY NOT take unfinished crab away from your dedicated session.

Beer: In addition to our normal draft list of 24 beers, we will have 16 oz. 3 Stars tallboys available: $25 for a bucket of 5 beers. These discounted buckets are only available to the ticket holders during their time slots. The beer available will start as 3 Stars Citra Lemon Peel Saison, 3 Stars 2 to the Dome, and 3 Stars Ghost White IPA. Beers may change due to availability.

Time Slots: We will have rotating time slots that are available in 2 1/2 hour increments. The tickets that you are purchasing will indicate clearly what your time slot is. Large groups are recommended to buy in bulk to ensure that their group stays together. Changes to time slots will be made when possible (up to the day of the event) but once a session is sold out, no changes can be made. Please be sure at the time of purchase that you are reserving the correct time slot. Refunds will not be permitted the day of the event due to customer scheduling errors. Additionally, tickets are good for the allotted time slot only. We will need everyone to promptly leave their tables at the end of their session. This will allow us to clean the tables and get them ready for the next session on time.

Seating: All tickets are for one seat at one of our patio picnic tables. Each table holds 6 people and capacity will be strictly enforced for everyone’s maximum enjoyment. We have 8 total tables and sessions have been broken into 12-person and 18-person sections. You will be given access to your table(s) 10 minutes prior to the beginning of your time slot so everyone will be able to get settled in and comfy! To ensure all guests comfort, we will not add more people to any of the allotted sessions.
Weather: We hope to have this event on our patio sitting under umbrellas. This is D.C. though, so interpret the forecast with a grain of salt and remember that there is always a chance of storms. We will evaluate the weather leading up to the event and will tent the patio if weather dictates. This event is rain or shine!

Families: We will have the other half of the patio available for our families that wish to eat crabs with the kiddos, but not as part of the ticketed event. We will have comparable pricing to accommodate those wishing to eat a ton of crab but will also account for smaller appetites as well. While most of you know that we are extremely family-friendly, this will be an adult-only ticketed event. By partnering with a brewery and including a beer into the ticket price, we must maintain a legal drinking age for all attendees of the ticketed area. To make reservations for a family table please contact us at [email protected].

Cancellation: We will accommodate cancellations up to 72 hours before the event with a full refund, less a 10% administrative fee. Obviously, we will need solid numbers to know how much crab to buy!

We hope that you come out and enjoy a great day of community and crab! We look forward to seeing you!”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
