“Reconstruction of the Metrorail system will continue over the weekend of May 21-22 with service adjustments on four of six lines. Trains will operate as follows:

Yellow and Green Line trains will operate at regular weekend intervals.
Free shuttle buses replace Orange Line trains between Stadium-Armory & Minnesota Ave on Saturday and Stadium-Armory & New Carrollton on Sunday. See below for details.
Free shuttle buses replace Blue line trains between Stadium-Armory and Capitol Heights.
Red Line trains will operate every 24 minutes.
Silver Line trains will operate every 12 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and East Falls Church only.

Red Line
Trains every 24 minutes | 8:00 p.m. Friday until closing Sunday

Red Line trains will operate between Shady Grove & Glenmont every 24 minutes with single tracking in two zones:

Between NoMa-Gallaudet & Fort Totten
Between Friendship Heights & Van Ness

Work performed: rail, fastener and insulator renewal, joint elimination and leak mitigation

Orange Line
Buses replace trains in two segments | 12:01AM Saturday until closing Sunday

Orange Line trains will operate as follows:

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday through 3:00 a.m. closing Sunday, free shuttle buses will replace Orange Line trains between Stadium-Armory and Minnesota Avenue. Trains will operate:

Between Vienna & Stadium-Armory every 15 minutes
Between Minnesota Avenue & New Carrollton every 15 minutes

On Sunday, free shuttle buses will replace Orange Line trains between Stadium-Armory and New Carrollton.

Trains will operate between Vienna & Stadium-Armory every 15 minutes.

Passengers should add an extra 15 minutes per stop when traveling on the free shuttle buses.

Last Train Times:

The last eastbound train of the night from Vienna will depart at regular time. On Friday and Saturday nights, the last Orange Line train will depart Vienna at 2:33AM en route to Stadium-Armory. The last eastbound Orange Line train will depart Minnesota Avenue 15 minutes later, at 3:40AM. On Sunday, the last train will leave Vienna at 11:33PM.
The last westbound train of the night from New Carrollton will depart 16 minutes earlier. On Friday and Saturday nights, the last Orange Line train will leave New Carrollton at 2:20AM en route to Minnesota Avenue. The last westbound Orange Line train will depart Stadium-Armory at 2:50AM. On Sunday, the last train will depart Stadium-Armory at 11:50PM

Work Performed: aerial structure renewal and PEPCO power cable replacement.

Silver Line
Trains every 12 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East & East Falls Church only | 8:00PM Friday until closing Sunday

Silver Line trains will operate every 12 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and East Falls Church only. Customers traveling to/from other stations should use Orange and/or Blue line trains to complete their trip. At East Falls Church, transfer between Silver and Orange line trains on the same platform.

Blue Line
Buses replace trains between Stadium-Armory and Capitol Heights | 12:01AM Saturday until closing Sunday

Blue Line trains will operate as follows:

Between Franconia-Springfield & Stadium-Armory every 15 minutes
Between Capitol Heights & Largo Town Center every 15 minutes

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday through closing Sunday, free shuttle buses will replace Blue Line trains between Stadium-Armory and & Capitol Heights. Please add an extra 15 minutes of travel time.

Last Train Times:

The last northbound train of the night from Franconia-Springfield will depart at regular time. On Friday and Saturday nights, the last Blue Line train will depart Franconia-Springfield at 2:29AM en route to Stadium-Armory. The last Blue Line train will depart Capitol Heights 17 minutes later, at 3:43AM. On Sunday, the last train will leave Franconia-Springfield at 11:29PM and depart Capitol Heights at 12:43AM.
The last southbound train of the night from Largo Town Center will depart at regular time. On Friday and Saturday nights, the last Blue Line train will leave Largo Town Center at 2:23AM en route to Capitol Heights. The last Blue Line train will depart Stadium-Armory at 2:37AM. On Sunday, the last train will leave Largo Town Center at 11:23PM and depart Stadium-Armory at 11:37PM
