“WHAT: Cathedral Commons is gearing up to close down the Newark Street and welcome Washingtonians for an epic neighborhood experience – Spring Fest at Cathedral Commons curated by Art Soiree. Free and open to public, this spring themed street festival will offer attendees a chance to get a taste of the neighborhood through vibrant art, delicious food offerings and an all day live music & entertainment program.

“Spring in Bloom” themed art installation by Nena Depaz & Charlotte Hager

“Flower Couture” pieces by ManneqART

Delicious food tastings from local restaurants – the grande paella from Barcelona Restaurant & Wine Bar, dumplings from Raku, & mini burgers from Cafe Deluxe to name a few

Over $3,000 in Free Raffle Giveaways – shopping gift cards to Core72, La Village Marche, gift baskets from Giant and The Cookery, restaurant gift certificates from Barcelona, Cactus Cantina, Cafe Deluxe, Raku, Grilled Oyster Company, work-out memberships & class packages to Pure Barre, [Solidcore], Zengo Cycle, tickets to Washington Ballet’s Bowie & Queen performance, and more.

MAIN STAGE:

12pm Outdoor workout – Fitness enthusiasts are invited to bring a mat and arrive early for a free outdoor workout session by Pure Barre. All in attendance will also get a chance to win 1-Month Unlimited Package at Pure Barre DC, ($250 Value)

Live music line-up:

12:45pm – Flamenco guitarist Miguelito and local Spanish guitar duo Agustito will transport you to Southern Spain in a heartbeat (Rumba Flamenca)

2:00pm – One of the best Blues/Soul singers in the Washington DC Area – Carly Harvey and her band Kiss & Ride (Blues/Jazz/Soul)

3:00pm – Philly’s rising star and next signature voice – Tara Hendricks (Brit Pop/Soul/R&B)

4:00pm – Internationally acclaimed singer and Baltimore native – Joi Carter (Alternative, Rock and So Much More!)

Face painting, balloon sculpture, stilt walkers, live pet portraits, & more will add to the festive atmosphere.
