  • Really? I thought it had only been going out of business for a year, at most.
I believe this space is being taken over by Summit to Soul, an athleisure boutique, which will certainly be a better fit for today’s Barracks Row.

    • I’m cautiously optimistic about Summit to Soul. They seem like they’ll appeal to a lot of people in the area (and while I’m sure they’ll be expensive, I’m hoping they won’t be Lulu or Kit + Ace expensive), but I feel bad for this business. I honestly never went inside because it looked so uninviting from the outside. I wish them the best of luck though.

      • Are you saying there’s something about this storefront that makes it uninviting, no matter what business is in it? I don’t think so. I never went inside because I don’t like sports jerseys. If Summit to Soul has well-made pieces that cost at least a little bit less than Lulu I’ll probably buy a few things from them though.

  • I’ve lived in the neighborhood for three years, and this place has been going out of business since I arrived!

  • Are we sure it’s closed? The sign still says, “Open.”

This store and The Tiny Jewel Box on Connecticut are the only retail places I’ve had to be buzzed in to in town. Tiny Jewel Box I get, this one not so much. Anyhow, their stock was a mishmash of mainly homemade t-shirts and random jerseys for out of town teams. As someone who buys local team apparel and likes small businesses, I wanted to support the place, but they almost never had anything worth buying in stock. I think it could be best described as how a Modell’s would look if it was run by the Venezuelan Government.

    • “I think it could be best described as how a Modell’s would look if it was run by the Venezuelan Government.” Snap!
