  • I remember a Cherry Blossom parade in crazy freezing pouring rain where all the bands and little baton girls from Kansas etc. were marching valiantly while the Clydesdales were towed along in their comfy horse-trailer. They lost all respect from me.

    • I can tell you as a former draft horse enthusiast that it was their fancy harnesses that were being spared the rain, not the horses who don’t care or get sick from cold rain.

  • is there free beer??

I got to see them up close and personal at the Alaska State Fair. They are very sweet and HUGE!

    • Yes! I’m a Missourian and have seen them and their dalmatian buddies at the Budweiser brewery in St. Louis, though never the big herd at the Grant’s Farm stables. Unfortunately they were running late at Duffy’s, so my wife’s plans to show them to our little guy fell through.
