  • I’m excited for this place, but I think it’s for the best that I’m generally not in this area during the hours it’s open. Also, I really really hope they make a Kouign-amann; I’ve yet to find a good one in DC.

    • I really love the kouign amann at the pastry spot in Union Market – I think it’s called Panorama. Have you tried it?

      • Is that the one on the far NE end, near the BBQ spot and the middle-eastern vendor? I’ve tried it a couple of times and didn’t like it much. My gold standard is Bouchon Bakery (Time Warner Center, NYC), with very close seconds being Dominique Ansel (NYC) and Patisserie Kouign Amann in Montreal.

    • I’m generally not in this area ever.

Try Potomac Pastry. She use to sell her stuff through Zekes. I think maybe now at Brookland farmers market. Crispy. Carmelized sugary magic.
