From a press release:

“EastBanc, Inc. and Jamestown LP announced today that Resource Furniture, the modern home furnishings showroom specializing in European-designed, space-saving furniture, has signed a long-term lease to occupy the retail space in its Georgetown Renaissance property at 3340 Cady’s Alley, NW. The 2,097-square-foot store will serve as the brand’s first DC showroom with plans for a grand opening slated for April. Eddie Goldmeier of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Resource Furniture in the deal.

Since its start in 2000, Resource Furniture has imported and distributed modern, space-saving furniture from the finest European designers. Their curated product line encompasses a vast selection of high-end, Italian-made more wall beds, bunk beds, freestanding sofa/wall-bed systems, closet and storage systems and workspace solutions for all ages. In addition, Resource Furniture offers a full line of Italian sofas and sectionals, tables, seating, office furniture and more. With showrooms in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Canada and Mexico, Resource Furniture is expanding their reach by adding their first DC store to the region’s fashion and design capital, Georgetown.

“Cady’s Alley continues to offer trade and retail customer diversity in home design, and Resource Furniture adds some new and needed versatility to the current offerings,” says Philippe Lanier, vice president of EastBanc. “Keep a look out for even more additions in the coming months.”

The new Resource Furniture retail space will add to the extensive collection of distinguished home designer brands currently found in Cady’s Alley, a retail corner in Washington’s epicenter of upscale fashion, design, furnishing and lifestyle goods. The deal is one of many in the recent Georgetown Renaissance leasing activity that includes retailers such as Donghia, Baker Furniture, Calligaris and Circa Lighting. The Resource Furniture lease agreement also validates the westward movement in Georgetown of sophisticated lifestyle offerings and will continue to complement current Cady’s Alley home design and fashion tenants.

The EastBanc and Jamestown Georgetown Renaissance portfolio is a collection of high-end retail properties in one of Washington, DC’s premier retail locations. The portfolio also includes boutique office space and 16 luxury rental apartments. Georgetown Renaissance consists of more than 300,000 square feet across 17 properties in Georgetown and one property in Alexandria, Virginia, and it includes the area commonly referred to as Cady’s Alley. The two companies are working on an additional 30,000 square feet of new leases within the portfolio.”
