From a press release:

“Dupont Circle has long been one of Cava Grill’s most requested neighborhoods to open, and on April 1st, Cava 15th location will call it home. Located at 1222 Connecticut Avenue NW, on the south side of the circle, Cava’s Dupont restaurant is distinctly situated between the downtown, 14th Street, and Georgetown neighborhoods.

Keeping with Cava opening day traditions, the public is invited to celebrate the new location with Community Day, where lunch (grain bowls, salads, and pitas) will be free from 11am-2pm on Friday, April 1st. On Community Day, visitors are encouraged to donate to Cava’s local non-profit partner, City Blossoms, which champions healthy eating through garden-based learning in the DC community. Cava will open for regular service on Saturday, April 2 from 11am-10pm, seven days a week.

Cava’s Dupont location will exclusively serve Green Harissa, a new dressing made with spicy jalapenos, flavorful herbs, and a hint of bright lemon. The Dupont restaurant will also feature a dedicated space for online order pick-ups so customers can order ahead and pick up their meals with ease and seasonal menu favorites including house-made juices and teas, roasted vegetables, and soup.

Cava enlisted local artist Holley Simmons, founder of Sill Life, to bring the Dupont space to life with an interior green installation. As with existing Cava locations, it will feature an open-kitchen layout, with food prep and cooking visible for guests to watch. Cava is proud to partner with other local food producers Whisked!, Gordy’s Pickle Jar, and RunningByrd Tea.”
