From Bardo:

“DC’s Bardo Brewing is reopening the outdoor portion of their venue in Trinidad this Friday. A newly renovated outdoor bar incorporates freshly milled wood and provides a glimpse of the finishes that will be featured at the new Bardo Riverfront brew garden next to Nats Stadium.

Ed. Note: A Craigslist ad says: “expected to open between Apr 1 & May 1“.

Bardo Brewing’s interior boasts one hundred year old pine floors, brick walls and early century, press plate ceilings. Bardo also hosts the largest (for now) beer garden in the city. A wide variety of GABF award winning house brews are available in pints and pitchers as well as growlers. Bardo is 100% dog friendly every day with 15,000 square feet in our beer garden to roam off leash. Located at 1200 Bladensburg rd NE, Bardo has cornhole, big screen movie viewings/sports and is available for private parties/fundraisers, large and small, with no charge for the space.

  • As someone who mills boards like those and builds similar installations: that bark will be infested with wood eating grubs in one year. And they smell. I like Bardo. I loved the old Bardo. They need to cut off the bark and cambium layer, then they’ll be OK for an outdoor installation.
