“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District Detectives Office have announced that two arrests have been made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (gun), which occurred in the 1000 Block of 8th Street, Southeast, on Friday, February 12, 2016, at approximately 1:42pm.

Three suspects opened the front door to the establishment and began to shoot at the victim. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his lower extremities as he held his 14 month old child, who also sustained a gunshot wound. All three suspects then fled the scene.

On Wednesday, February 17, 2016, 21-year-old Terrance Atchinson, of Southeast, DC was arrested pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court warrant for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).

On Thursday, February 18, 2016, 27-year-old Barry Bloomfield, of Southwest, DC, was arrested pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the third suspect Anthony Chambers of Southeast, DC, who is also wanted on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun). Anthony Chambers, pictured below should be considered armed and dangerous.”
