From WMATA:

“Reconstruction of the Metrorail system will continue over the weekend of February 5-7 with service adjustments on all six lines. Trains will operate as follows:

Green Line trains will operate every 24 minutes.
Yellow Line trains will operate at regular weekend intervals between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Sq only.
Silver Line trains will operate every 10 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only.
Free shuttle buses will replace Orange and Blue line trains between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly & Benning Road.
Red Line trains will operate every 9-20 minutes.”

  • Not any rougher than the weekend service “adjustments” that have been happening every single weekend for the past 4 years.
At least they’re clearly making metro a safer more reliable system.
Oh wait that’s not the case at all.

    • Last week was horrible. Going from Waterfront to Glenmont was taking the green to Ft. Totten, then the red to Silver Spring, then had to get off to take another train to Glenmont because it was only running Glenmont – Silver Spring before having to get off.

  • accendo

Um, we’re aware that the 13th is next weekend, right?

    • The city sent out multiple notices about these street closures today. Wonder if they sent them out too early or if they got the date wrong. Either way, Bravo.

  • every 9-20 minutes is a pretty big window

    • I believe you aren’t taking Metro anyway, but the detailed advisory at wmata.com explains that there will be trains every 18 minutes between Shady Grove and Silver Spring, with extra trains to double the frequency between Farragut North and SIlver Spring, and there will be trains every 20 minutes between Silver Spring and Glenmont. Red Line weekend schedules have been similar to this for a while now.
