  • Nice city home.I would just power wash and re-stain the deck to a more natural finish.

  • So much stupid grey. Grey as far as the eye can see. Can grey be over yet?

    • It has to be painted something. I’d take the grey over all white/beige while I take my time choosing paint colors that I’d actually want to live with. Plus having an actual color on their help shows how the lighting affects the color at different times of the day etc….

    • Yeah personally I would repaint the whole house including the blue front door. Paint colors is not something I even pay attention to when looking at a home because its a personal preference thing and I repaint anyway.

    • Better than the yellow that all the flippers were using 10 years ago. Pale yellow exterior, bright yellow basement, mustard living room, butter bedrooms…

    • You’ll take the grey, and you’ll like it. Now call me Sir.

This is not a Redfin home, but it seems like every Redfin listing has been repainted grey inside. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an exception–I think it’s a requirement at this point.

  • Too much vinyl and chain link at that price point. Also, sofits could be better balanced.

  • Over 800K and you don’t even get a proper backsplash or a mirror in the powder room. No thanks.

    • /s???
      .
If not, you realize you can hang a mirror over that sink for pretty cheap in comparison to the cost of this property? You will pay a lot more to convert this from flipper grey.

      • Yes seriously – it’s indicative of the care with which this property was flipped. If they couldn’t have bothered to throw up a 20 buck mirror in a highly visible place most people would expect one, what do you think they did in the places you can’t see?

    • Or kitchen cabinet hardware apparently. Drives me bonkers.

  • I’m gonna go with Not on this one. As always, “Blocks to metro” is code for “this is well over a mile but we’re not technically lying to you.” Though in this case, you could at least take the G8 back and forth pretty easily.

  • 1.2 Miles from the Brookland Metro. Yikes. Not worth it, as overpriced as one gets. You can get a home a 1/4 mile from the metro in Takoma right now for around $525k. Safer neighborhood too. The Brookland prices are trending into the insane. You can also buy a house in a NW neighborhood for the price. Shepherd Park or Crestwood, and even west of the park in some cases for this pricepoint. I think sometimes this lack of knowledge is driving up prices right now in this area.

Under $1M in Brookland? Must not be pool-ready?

  • Well they bought it in October for $448k now selling for $381K more. $381,000 in 5 months. This must be a super quality renovation.

  • Not. Nice-sized house with (what looks like?) a decent yard, but that kitchen is way too-tiny for a post-flipped house.
