  • Not the sexiest neighborhood, but could make an awesome and affordable group house.

    • That’s what I was thinking – are there really families/couples that would/could rent a place for $4,500 intead of buying? High ranking diplomats?

  • Less than 1000/bedroom for that kind of space…and only sharing a bathroom with one other person at most? Great deal imo. Wish I was still in a grouphouse situation.

Something to keep in mind is that not every landlord will rent to “grouphouse” type tenants. I know if I were the owner of this place I wouldn’t want 5 kids sharing it, and would probably turn down applications until a family came along. Much more stability and better care for the property that way.

      • Was thinking the same thing.

        • It’s technically illegal in DC for landlords to discriminate on family status, meaning it is technically illegal for them to deny groups of people who want to rent a house together, but of course, it’s difficult to enforce.

  • I Dont Get It

    Fugly curb appeal.

    • Part of why it would work as a group house.

    • I thought the same thing. The left side of the facade could be OK-ish, but the right two-thirds is terrible — windows not corresponding between the first and second floors, and a big garage door to boot.
