Commenters to the original Good Deal or Not post generally seemed to think this was a decent deal at the list price. It ultimately sold for $10,000. less than list price, making it an even better deal for this lower level unit.

Factors contributing to the positive value opinion that were noted include the location, the historic elegance of the building, and the common roof deck. It was mentioned that the condo fee seemed high for a small unit, however, the fee includes utilities, and cable. Other nice features referred to in the listing are extra storage, and a bike room in the building. An interesting note in the listing agreement, which is not common in most condo or co-op buildings in DC, is that the building has a very pet-friendly policy, with no size restrictions.

From a price comparison standpoint, there are recent sales of one bedroom units in Kalorama in historic buildings that sold in the high $600-low $700 per square foot. The units sold at the higher end of the pricing spectrum for this location tend to be above ground with lots of windows and updated appliances, etc. Currently, there are six one bedroom condo units available for sale in Kalorama, ranging in price from $349,700. to $449,900.
