  • I’d buy this in a heartbeat as an investment if I had my ducks all lined up.

  • This seems underpriced.

  • Seems underpriced to me–I feel like it’s well into the 200s to buy an unrenovated (and unlivable!) house this size in Anacostia.
Also, my big pet peeve with rowhouses in Anacostia: so many of them, like this one, have so little curb appeal.

    • The house we bought a year ago was comparable to this one, but with much better curb appeal. We paid $40k less and in retrospect felt we’d paid too much. These comments are making me feel better 🙂

    • Yeah, I really don’t follow. HA of course has tons of beautiful houses with curb appeal.

      • There are boxy houses like this all over Capitol Hill, but they look attractive because someone bothered to landscape and use nice finishes. The ugly houses in Anacostia have just as much potential.

If I were the seller I would be pissed that my agent made so many typos. Make a good impression, it’s part of your job.

  • I Dont Get It

Cute house inside! I think with a little bit of imagination that lack of curb appeal could be dealt with.

I love historic Anacostia, but the major reason I didn’t/wouldn’t buy there is the current lack of walkable amenities, like a non-bodega grocery store. That said, for someone who already needs a car for other reasons, this seems like a solid deal.

  • Seems like a great deal, I’d have rather bought this than a similar house in fort totten for near the same price
