  • Have we had a Friday Question about how many people have tattoos vs. not? I’m in the not camp because a) I am a pain wimp b)needles terrify me and c) my weight yo-yos, so I imagine they wouldn’t looks so great anyway. But I definitely seem to be in the minority! Have we discussed? Can we?

I was thinking about it at the beach the other week when I saw a woman with a tattoo all the way down her side and on her abdomen. She was in her 20’s or so. What’s that going to look like when/if she ever gets pregnant?

    • Reminds me of a Dear Abby that I read way back when–younger-ish woman walks into salon with a low-cut shirt & a rose visible somewhere in the vicinity of her cleavage. Older women joke to one another that in several decades, it would be a long-stemmed rose 🙂

My mom lost some weight and her tattoo shrank. It still looks good, but some of the detail and color is lost Mine still look new; this is the only thing pale and pasty skin is good for.

Funny. Saturday I was getting hair cut and color. One of the new stylists had a very lovely black and grey sleeve with flowers and other still life type designs. She was early 20’s and probably 30-40 lbs under weight. My first thought was what is that going to look like 10 years from now when she gets to a sustainable weight.
