I stopped in there a few weeks ago and was told Silver Spring, but they hadn’t signed a lease.

  • I received this email from Mara Home a few weeks ago:

    Dear patrons, family and friends,

I would like to take a moment to personally thank each of you for your patronage, support and encouragement over the past year at Mara Home in our inaugural 14th St NW location. It’s been a busy year with many developments and with much appreciated recognition from media outlets such as DC Modern Luxury and Washingtonian Magazine in their recent Best of DC issue. Erin Mara Interiors launched in August with the completion of Garrison, our first commercial restaurant design project, and September will see a redesign and upgrade of our e-commerce platform and offerings.

While we have absolutely loved being a part of the 14th St midtown community, we are leaving our current location because we have been unable to negotiate a reasonable solution to the noise issuing from the neighboring Crossfit gym. This disruptive noise and vibration has proven to be a serious hindrance to our business which, as you know, requires a relative amount of peace and quiet to operate in a meaningful manner. A move to Silver Spring is in the works – we’ll keep you posted as we progress.

During the transition our sourcing and delivery infrastructure will remain unchanged. For those of you awaiting furniture deliveries, it will be business as usual, and you can contact me directly at any time if you any questions. Our customers planning to pick up smaller furniture and accent orders at the 14th St store will receive free delivery of their items. We will contact you once the items arrive at our warehouse to arrange delivery.

I invite you to stay in touch and visit us at http://www.mara-home.com for beautiful, functional and well-made furniture and accents and at http://www.erinmara.com for modern and timeless interior design.

To heath, happiness and beautiful surroundings.

    Best regards,

    Erin Mara
