Seems like a really odd mashup of building styles.

  • The owner held a walk through for neighbors last week. They’ll be accessed from the alley – building out a stairwell in the back so you’ll enter from the roof / garden area.

  • I like the alley development. But, I dislike how this project doesn’t appear to have retail on 9th street. That is such a desolate under-utilized couple of blocks. Every time I walk up 9th street, I’m always so surprised it isn’t built with bars and restaurants like Barracks Row.

  • I am never forgiving Blagden Alley for kicking out Downtown Boxing Club. The alley is dead to me.

  • I really think this is quality development. It’s difficult to have retail “not on grade” – so I understand how it hard to fill 9th street spots. The wood and concrete block combo on the alley works and Jemal was able to land some quality tenants. Now we just have to see if SEB Urban’s micro units mess it all up.
