  • This extends to Mt. Pleasant, too… a lot of shops along Mt. Pleasant Street are out.

  • I’ve literally never seen the power go out in this area. It’s withstood every storm and construction project being buried and in a more established area. I guess we were due.

    • I thought the same thing, we’ve been so lucky. I’m in CH and I’m assuming mine is out too.

      • The outage map is linked in the post. It only inches a little east of 16th, so CH is good. (Not that it’s not understandable to assume that CH went out. Again.)

        • It looks like it inches just east enough of 16th to have my house on there, but you’re right I”m just assuming. Does your power go out a lot in CH?

          • There was a period of about a year and a half where the power around 13th/11th and Park went out four or five times. It hasn’t happened for about a year now but… Oops. I probably just jinxed us.

same. There were some big utility type trucks on my street today. perhaps they messed something up.

    • I’m in Mt. Pleasant and possibly within the outage area. I can’t complain, I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve lost power in the last 14 years (and only once or twice for more than an hour or so).

That sucks! and the heat emergency was just activated for DC.

  • Anyone have word on the status of this outage in Adams Morgan? I’m at work, but got an email earlier in the day that my building near the Harris Teeter was affected. Map looks like there are still some people with power out, possibly centered near Mt. Pleasant St, but not as many as before.

    • i think it didn’t necessarily extend to everyone under the red area. my block was around the edge, but we’d have gotten an email that our HVAC had lost it’s connection if the power had gone out
