Thanks to a reader for sending:

“The commercial property at the corner of West Virginia and Florida Ave NE, which has been empty for eons, is apparently going to be a new yoga studio.”

NAMASTAY TUNED! 405 YOGA is moving to DC Fall 2015, offering Vinyasa, Power, and Rocket yoga to rock the sweat and elevate the spirit.

  • We’re so glad you spotted us! 405 YOGA recently took over an old liquor store and is converting the space into a Power Yoga Studio offering Vinyasa, Rocket, and Power Yoga. Follow us on Facebook at /405YOGA and on Instagram @405YOGA to track our progress and specials leading up to opening day this Fall, 2015!

  • Location is not a good one. How do you plan to convince young women to travel there in the dark? They should not.

    • ^^^ doesn’t know what they’re talking about. It’s right at a major intersection. Very accessible/walkable for H street/Trinidad residents/Gallaudet students. I’ve never done YOGA, but having one so close- I will definitely try to get into it.

      • Or maybe he just didn’t get the memo that since houses cost a lot over there now, everything is all good.

  • Thanks all! 405 YOGA will be supporting our community members who work, walk, study, and live in the surrounding Capitol Hill/H Street/Trinidad neighborhoods. Moving into an urban neighborhood is awesome and comes with its own unique set of requirements. Our contracting team is adding bike racks, an additional Bike Share, and ample lighting around the outside of the studio to make commuting to 405 YOGA even easier!

  • Yes, this is actually a better location than you may think. It’s a ten minute walk from the NOMA metro and the intersection is well-lit. That neighborhood has changed a lot in the past 5 years. I just hope they can make it with so many other yoga studios nearby.

  • This is going to be a great addition to the Trinidad neighborhood, as well as the DC yoga scene. The owner is a resident of the neighborhood, an experienced yoga/business woman and is excited to help build community. Hopefully this will spark other new local businesses to open in the neighborhood. I will definitely namastay tuned!
