Burger, Tap and Shake opening in Tenleytown at the end of the Week – A peek inside

4445 Wisconsin Ave, NW

Back in January we learned that Burger Tap & Shake would be coming to the former Neisha Thai Restaurant space (briefly EUR Asian) in Tenleytown. BTS now says:

“We are hoping to open by the end of the week!”

Check out their Tenleytown menu here.

This will be their second location, the first Burger Tap & Shake is located at 2200 Pennsylvania Ave, NW in Foggy Bottom.

A peek inside the new spot:

  • They seemingly want to be by colleges, but looking at the facade, it made me realize that I would die for this or a place like it to open in the Uptown Tap House space in Cleveland Park.

  • Convince that group to put their District Commons concept in Tenley as well.

  • Fortuitous timing for them — this is convenient to the Prince’s new digs.

  • If you went out clubbing in NYC in the 90s and early 00s, you’d know that “BTS” is a terrible name. “Brooklyn Terror Squad” was nothing to mess with!

  • My biggest complaint about the one in Foggy Bottom is how hard it is to find seating. This one looks bigger and that gets a thumbs up from me!!!
I will never tire of decent burger joints with good milkshakes.

Those prices are pretty darn good.
But WTF is up with the happy hour times? 3-5? Uhhhh should someone tell them most people don’t even get OUT of work until 5?

  • Yes! Can’t wait for this to open — TT needs more fun, good dining options!

SO excited for some more dining options in Tenley. This seems like a good fit for the area.

  • Ugh. Tried their burger of the month (with brie) and onion rings – cheap prices but both let a LOT to be desired. One of the worst burgers I’ve had in DC. Granted, a burger is a burger and is never outright bad, but no flavor brie and the onion rings were greasy and fell apart. Shouldn’t be hard to make onion rings good – you would think. This was the foggy bottom location.

Plus, good root beer float boozy shake.

    • Same, I am not a fan of BTS’ burgers. Very bland and excessively greasy. But their boozy milkshakes are worth the trip.

  • Did I miss something? Is PoP moving to Tenleytown?
