$2900 and no parking? Seems high for CoHi.

  • Looks like a drop ceiling. That’s an outrageous price for this part of Columbia Heights.

  • This is actually an illegal rental according to the condo board (no board approval for rental, building at rental cap). Renters beware.

    • You’d think an illegal rental would be a steal.

If you reside in the building, I’d report it to the board. My sister was recently in this situation for her studio in Scott Circle and waited patiently for months while on the renting waitlist, in spite of financial hardship – it’s really unfair to all those currently waiting their turn.

    • It’s not the renter that needs to worry, it’s the condo owner. though any good lease would have a form stating you read the condo bylaws/rules.

    • They may have a rental surcharge/fine that they charge people who rent without Board approval. It’s what we do in my building, because (we’ve been told by lawyers) we technically can’t keep them from renting. But we can fine the heck out of them.

Also, this is the the building that I regularly see people selling drugs in front of. Literally right at the door.

  • where did you get this info that its illegal? also its not a drop ceiling its unfinished concrete

  • What’s up with the photo of all the padlocks?

    • And the mailbox! And not one but TWO photos of the elevator bank!

    • But I can’t figure out what the padlocks are FOR. With the mailbox and elevators, it’s self-evident.

      • Not allowed to tell you what the padlocks or for. It’s a BFD tho!

        • If it’s a BFD, why didn’t the realtor mention it in the listing?
And if no one’s allowed to talk about it, why is the photo of the padlocks even there??

      • I have no idea why the locks were photographed for the ad, but I assume they are most likely lockboxes with keys to units for rent/for sale, or for contractors to access specific units.

  • I’m really confused by the bathroom pictures

Kitchen and main room (I’m assuming or is that the bedroom?) seem VERY dark. If that main room then why no bedroom photos but a ton of the bathroom? And no mention of closets. And stop with uploading blurry pics, take another photo!

  • Seriously? just awful from the dark tight kitchen to the wacko fixtures in the bathroom and the location; it screams give it 6 months if you really really have to. $2900.00 and you’re getting a dark dark place to call home. Whats up with that pipe hanging from the ceiling??

  • I Dont Get It

    Vessel sink!

  • Wow, I lived in the building back in 2007 when it first opened. We were living in a 3 bedroom 2 bath and it was $3000/month. Sure it’s been a few years and more stuff has opened up in CoHi, but no way I’d pay $2900 to live in a 2 bedroom in that neighborhood.

  • Awful. I pay 20% less for a 3br house in Park View.

Would not pay $1450 PLUS UTILITIES to live with a ROOMMATE on this stretch of 14th Street.
