  • Wow, it’s a beautiful house and the renovation is really nicely done. Compared to others in this price range I’d say it’s a good deal. Too bad the furniture all looks leftover from the 1970’s and 1980’s. I’m sure it was extremely expensive stuff from Baker or some other exclusive retailer, but barf, I hate it.

Were it not for the price on this listing I honestly wouldn’t have realized today was Wednesday.

If I’ve got $3M to blow on a place though I’m converting the basement into more space for me though, not renting it out to someone.

      • Agreed. If I have $2.4M to spend on this place, I already have a handful of positive-cash-flow investment properties as part of a diversified portfolio.
But in my experience this isn’t what most people actually do. Instead, they buy a $3M house and a $100k car, and their net worth is perhaps a shade higher than their down-payments on both 😀 In that case, a rental in the basement might no be the worst thing.

  • one of most beautiful blocks in all of DC with great neighbors – love the halloween block party

  • You know… I read somewhere you could buy Stetson’s at around the same price point…

  • Nice house. Would look better if they removed a lot of the extraneous furniture – like almost one-half of it – in the living areas and bedrooms – it looks cramped as it is furnished. Though i don’t suppose you have to try that hard when you have a house this gorgeous.

But why do people think a set table makes a dining room look good? It always just looks too formal and reads as clutter. Show off that nice wood tabletop instead, I say.
