1800 block of E Street, NW

Thanks to a reader for the update on Which Wich and Greenberry’s in the GSA building at 18th & E NW:

“Which Wich is open now, and as of lunchtime yesterday (Thursday) it was jammed. Greenberry’s is scheduled to open on April 20. Good to have a few more options in the area.”

  • More strip mall mediocrity. There are plenty of decent places to get a sandwich in DC, but crappy franchise continue proliferate.

    • There’s nothing in this area, aside from a 7-11. The massive amount of workers on this row will take ANYTHING. What the heck were you expecting from a bureaucratic district?

…and Subway, Dunkin Donuts and the Red Cross cafeteria which is actually pretty good. I went to Which Wich for lunch today and it was jam packed. A welcome addition to the food desert down here.

    • There are definitely not plenty of decent places to grab lunch down here in federal office building land.

I work at 17th and NYA. There are plenty of decent places if you walk a block or two up to 17th/18th and Pennsylvania.

  • I at the which wich on Vermont. it was awful. I just recently found out who they’re owned by, but now I can’t remember.

  • How is Greenberry’s Coffee anyhow?
