Slim’s Diner is opening in July at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Upshur Street in Washington, D.C.

Help us build the best diner in D.C! This important position is responsible for management and oversight of the restaurant, staff, and financial success of the business as a whole. Work with the Chef and Management Group to create a neighborhood star.

Slim’s Diner is coming to Petworth! Slim’s is a traditional diner serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to the neighborhood. We are committed to providing excellent hospitality, great food and drinks, and building community in Petworth.”

  • Can’t wait. Can’t wait. Can’t wait!
    Assuming they’ll have outdoor seating? The demand is going to far outweigh the seats if neighborhood buzz is any indicator.
    Also, how about a fresh coat of paint on the upper half of the building. I’d love to see it painted to match the historical photo when it was all cream colored etc.

  • I’m excited about the diner itself, but I have to say that I’m not so enthused about the neon/lightbulb (?) sign in the window in the rendering. It looks waaaay bigger than necessary.

    I’m moving out of Petworth (to Brookland) next week, and this, plus Safeway, are probably the two main things that I will miss the most. AND SLIM’S HASN’T EVEN OPENED YET.

  • I drive by this location twice a day on my way to work and back home. I was starting to get a little worried because I haven’t seen much progress with the space. Happy to see that things are moving along.
