  • Will any of the half street construction be done by then?

    • I was wondering the same thing.

    • They’ll break ground on the land where the Bullpen is after the season (they only renewed the lease for this year). Three years should be enough time to finish that. The hotel across from the stadium is well on it’s way, and the big hole in the ground right next to that will hopefully get moving again soon. The JDLand blog has a good run down of what is confirmed in the pipe or in progress, but it seems to be down this morning.

    • The two projects closest to the ballpark are supposed to get underway late this year or sometime in 2016, so there’s a good possibility they’ll be finished by the middle of 2018.

  • This is great news! There is so much more development already down there, and hopefully this will jumpstart the rest to get finished by then. Its amazing how many more options there are pre- and post-game than there were five years ago.

Great news. This will be wonderful for the cities economy, and bring a ton of new visitors and cash. Happy to see it, we certainly deserve it!

Saving money to buy a ticket now…

  • Watch WMATA decide to run 20 minute headways, or even close the Navy Yard station and just run shuttle buses from L’Enfant, despite getting a three-year heads up on this one.

  • When can I buy my ticket?
