Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 6-8 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

“In memorium – Jack from Petworth. March 2002 – March 2015”

“This is Harper, a 2 year old Great Dane Mutt living in Capitol Hill. He’s made it his life’s work to keep the Chihuahua gang off the streets of Cap Hill, one mean mug at a time.” Here we are patrolling Stanton Park.”

  • Jack looks like he was a beautiful dog. And 13 years old- he must have received a lot of love and care during those years.
Harper is a cutie, and I wouldn’t mind taking a cross-country trip with Oliver. He looks like a great traveling companion. 🙂

I’m sorry for Jack’s people to be missing such a sweet dog.
Oliver looks like the dog in those Cesar dog food ads–have fun in TX!

  • I’m jealous that oliver gets to leave this trash heap of a city.

    • You too can leave any time you want. The people living in the DC area who claim to hate it amaze me. No one is holding you hostage! On another note, Oliver is too cute.

      • You know nothing about my situation. Not everyone gets to decide to live wherever they please and can just change careers and move without the threat of financial ruin.
If the world was the way you tell it then no one would be unhappy because “people can just do what they want!”.

  • Rest in peace, Jack.
Oliver looks like he’s full of eager anticipation!

  • Awww, Jack. Sad to lose a beautiful fellow like you.

  • Every time I open my front door, I expect to see Jack sitting on the top step of my front porch, keeping watch over the corner of New Hampshire and Taylor. He was a great friend.

  • Safe trip home, Jack. You look like a good ol dog.

Jack’s beautiful, I’m sorry for your loss.
Have fun in TX, Oliver! They’ve got good eats down there!
Harper, so glad you are watching the neighborhood. I feel safer.

  • So very sorry that Jack is gone

  • RIP Jack and my condolences to Jack’s people. Been where you are and know how it feels. (Never even met him and I’m getting choked up.)
